Overview
VideoEdit MCP is a desktop video editor for macOS. This policy explains what data the desktop app and this website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account data. Email address, hashed password, and account preferences.
- Footage proxies. The desktop app uploads downscaled copies of your video files to our cloud storage so we can prepare them for your agent (transcripts, scene descriptions, visual understanding). Original full-resolution files never leave your Mac.
- Derived data. Transcripts, scene descriptions, and other analysis artifacts produced from your proxies so your agent can reason about your footage.
- Usage telemetry. Anonymized product analytics, used only to improve the service.
How we use it
We use your data to operate the product: store your projects, generate analysis your agent can act on, send transactional email, and provide support. We do not sell your data.
Storage and retention
Proxies and derived artifacts are stored with our cloud providers. You can delete a project at any time, which removes the associated proxies and derived data.
Third parties
We rely on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, compute, transactional email, and payments. These providers process your data only as needed to deliver the service and are bound by appropriate data-processing terms.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account by emailing support@videoeditmcp.com.
